Before you can use VocabBuddy you must download and
install one of the options listed in the table below.
When you run VocabBuddy for the first time you will be told you
do not have a license. You will need to obtain a license, and activate
it by clicking on the "upgrade now" button. You will be
guided through the licensing and activation process and may do so
within the program using our integrated purchasing feature. You
do not have to purchase - you may choose to obtain a free
30 day trial license, and no credit card information will
be asked for.
If you don't want to purchase or obtain a free 30 day trial license
through VocabBuddy's integrated purchase feature, you may do so
through our web
store, and enter it manually into the program after clicking
on "upgrade now".
You will need to be connected to the internet during the licensing
and activation process. If the computer you are installing VocabBuddy
on does not have an internet capability, it is possible to retrieve
an activation code using a different computer. Please check our
support page for
more information on VocabBuddy's product activation process.
The information you enter when you license VocabBuddy is kept strictly
confidential. We do not share, distribute or sell any part of your
personal or credit details. In fact, when you purchase a full license,
your credit information is not available to us in any way. Your
credit card transaction is handled completely and securely by our
e-commerce service provider, eSellerate.

Multiple quantity licenses-
You may purchase multiple quantity licenses at a discount. When you
do, you will receive one license name and serial number that will
allow the number of activations you purchased on the same number of
machines. You only need to download one copy of the installer, and
may distribute the same installer to as many machines as you wish.
When you run VocabBuddy for the first time on one machine, click on
the "upgrade now" button to either purchase multiple licenses
or manually enter a multiple license name and serial number you purchased
through our web store. Then use the same license and serial number
to manually active the remainder of the copies you have purchased.
Full licenses are priced according to the following table.

Version 1.0 Installer
Welcome to VocabBuddy! To
download and install VocabBuddy, choose one of the four configurations
listed below. Which installer you choose to download - A, B, C, or
D - will depend on your internet connection speed and system software:
Because VocabBuddy includes Microsoft
system components for Text to Speech, if you already have
these components you do not need to download the largest installer
- A, or B . ( Most Windows XP versions already have "Text to
Speech" installed. ) You may verify "Text
to Speech" is installed on your computer by finding
the "Speech" control panel
in the Control Panels folder in the
Start Menu - Settings menu choice.
If you do not find the Speech system software, you must choose installer
A or B to gain the use of the Text to Speech feature of VocabBuddy.
For users with slower internet connections - 56k or less - the VocabBuddy
installer has been split into smaller pieces so that, in the event
something goes wrong with your connection during the download process,
you will not lose one large download, but just a smaller piece.
You will need to download all the pieces and put them into the same
folder before the installer will re-assemble them into VocabBuddy.
Once all the files are downloaded and in the
same folder ( depending on which installer you choose - A,
B, C, or D ) you must launch the MSI ( Microsoft Installer ) file
named "Install_VocabBuddy"
to complete the installation process. Warning!
Do NOT mix and match files from A, B, C, or
